Hi there! I'm here to fangirl your vids. :-) Actually, I'm here via [info]daybreak777's rec, and I downloaded all of your vids and am overjoyed to have found them (and you) and you did say you'd like feedback so here goes...

All this time
I love the way this vid shows the pilots just hangin' out together (brushing their teeth, chatting in their vipers), as well as the 'big' moments. It put a big grin on my face and I love the ending!

Breathe me
This vid really blew me away. I love both Kara and Lee, but I tend to be in Lee's pov most of the time when watching the show, so I really appreciate fan works (or meta) that help me understand Kara better, and I found this a really amazing insight into Kara, and a vid that did justice to her many relationships, not just with Lee. You had me gripped from the shot of Kara's feet--that was a great way to start. The vid felt so tender, without being sappy. [info]daybreak777 said she loved the montage to the instrumental and I have to agree--it was very well put together with a really original feel to it. I loved little things like you including Lee shaking his head ('no way') in the Viper from the mini, which reflect back on Kara. It's a vid I'll watch over and over, I know.

Chocolate
This is a great song and a great vid! Again, I really enjoyed the Kara pov, and I think it worked really well. I love the way you show the 'little' moments between them, and the way you make unpredictable choices in setting scenes to lyrics--it's a pleasure to watch and gets me thinking and reflecting at the same time.

Forget it
I liked the way this vid explored the tension in the relationship: the urge to draw closer, versus the desire to flee/give up.

The Finish Line
I saved the Lee one to last because he's my favourite character and I find so few people who vid him well. I love the large size of this vid, btw, and the beautiful quality of the footage. I think the introspective feel suits Lee so well, and the song fits the subject matter perfectly. You show Lee's sense of disconnection so brilliantly--watching things from space, literally. And I loved the way you integrated the dialogue from the show. Sometimes I find that jarring in vids, but it was entirely appropriate here and it worked. I'm so happy that someone's done justice to this part of Lee's journey.

Thanks so much for the great comments! :) I do love getting feedback, particularly with so much detail. I'm so happy you got the messages I was trying to express in the vids (and that you liked my very literal style of vidding. :) Especially with Breathe Me - I was so happy with the way that one came out (and it was my first ever vid!) It took me forever to figure out what to do with the instrumental section, so it's great that you liked the montage.

I've found so many great songs that I want to vid - all I need to do is find the time... Feel free to rec away and I hope I'll have some more for you soon! :) Glad you enjoyed!

Trust me, I've seen vidding a lot more literal than yours! (I may even be guilty of some myself!) Do you mind if I friend you? I'd love to watch out for more vids from you and I'll cross fingers you find the time to vid soon. *g*

Sure, you can friend me. I post very infrequently, so I definitely won't overflow your friends page. :) I seem to only have time to vid when I'm home sick and I really feel a cold coming on, so hopefully I'll have something new to post in a few weeks. (But don't hold your breath. ;P And I love to have LJ friends who can give me useful vidding critiques, since I worry that a lot of things only make sense in my head. *future nudge*

Just wanted to thank you for Breathe Me. I downloaded it so long ago and it has surely stood the test of time. I'm happy to recommend it to others. For so long it was the only one of two videos that I had and I was perfectly fine with that!

There are so many parts of this video that I love. From the beginning on the intake of breath to ending on the kiss. I, of course, love the montage at the end. Love it. But I think the moment that's been with me lately is the line, "Be my friend" and Kara slapping hands with Helo. Something about that gets to me. And "Wrap me up" with the best Kara/Lee hug ever! Oh I could just go on.

I've watched your other videos too (really getting into Chocolate lately) but this one was one of the first I'd seen and remains one of the best BSG vids out there.

Thank you so much for the great feedback! I'm so happy you like them (and Breathe Me is still my favorite that I've done, even though it was my first one. :) I was really going with the lyrics and made it a retrospective of Kara's relationships, and I really wanted to have the Helo/Kara friendship stuff in there (though there weren't too many of those scenes in the 1st season).

Please recommend it as you like - I love to hear that people have found and enjoyed it. :) I hope to get a few more vids done in the relatively near future. I have so many ideas, but so little free time at the moment... ;P

I'm so happy [info]bop_radar shared the rec she got for your vids. :D I had a really good time going through them all, and I especially loved "Breathe Me" and "Finish Line". They feel like different sides of the same coin to me. Beautiful compliments to one another and to the characters. Can't wait to see more of your vids!

Glad you liked! Thanks for the comments. :) I had a lot of fun trying to use those songs to get into the character's heads on those two vids, so I'm happy you liked them. I hope to get time to do some more soon. Stay on the lookout (but don't hold your breath. ;P )
